A middle-aged man who fixes things becomes the most valuable person in a fantasy party precisely because nobody else thought to bring a handyman. Saitou doesn't swing a sword or cast spells, he unclogs drains and repairs broken equipment, and the show commits entirely to the bit: that mundane competence saves lives more reliably than magic. The real hit is watching someone ordinary finally understand that being useful doesn't require being special, just present and willing to work.

Saitou is a handyman with a wide range of skills, yet he has never felt special and is badly underpaid. After his boss fires him, he nearly gets run over by a truck on the way home and ends up transported to a medieval fantasy world. He joins a dungeon exploring party made up of Raelza, a strong female knight; Morlock, an elderly mage whose senility makes him forget spells; and Lafanpan, a cute but stingy fairy. They need someone who can open locked chests or fix their armor, and Saitou's practical know-how soon earns him the recognition he never had. Adventure, comedy and slice of life mix as his presence begins to link people from many places.
