A hawk runs a radio advice column. People call in with their actual problems, relationships, money, identity, shame, and he listens like he actually gives a shit, even though he's a bird. The gap between his tiny feathered existence and the weight of what he's hearing creates a comedy that lands different every time. You laugh because the situation is absurd. Then you realize you're listening to someone get genuinely helped by a hawk, and that's when it gets real. The show never punches down at the callers. It punches up at how ridiculous it is that we all need help and sometimes a bird on a radio is honest enough to give it. By episode ten you stop noticing he's a hawk.
