A crown prince reduced to nothing finds out that getting everything back means nothing without the one person who actually sees him. Xie Lian descends to exorcise ghosts, but what he's really doing is proving he's worth saving to someone who was already sure. The romance doesn't arrive as a subplot, it's the entire reason any of this matters.

Xie Lian, crown prince of the Xian Le Kingdom, reaches Heaven again despite repeated falls from grace, only to wreck the Gold Palace of the heavenly officials by accident. With no mortals worshiping him, he must return to the human world to drive out ghosts. In this single ONA special, he and Hua Cheng spend a calm night at Puqi Shrine going over their recent adventures. During the stillness, Hua Cheng brings more of Xie Lian's true nature to light, and an embarrassing memory shows Xie Lian how much he has changed since his earlier ascensions. However much time passes, he keeps believing in the good he sees in others. The heavens may mock him, but what he says and does has won him the most devoted of followers. The special blends drama, fantasy and romance.
