Middle schooler Hikaru Shindou is relaxing with friends in the go club room when a baseball smashes through the window. He goes to confront the baseball team, and in the scuffle he breaks Tetsuo Kaga's treasured teacup. Guided by Fujiwara no Sai, his mentor from the Heian era, Hikaru hunts for a replacement at an antique shop, where the owner's dishonest dealings bother him enough that he decides to step in. The comedic supernatural OVA is an alternate version of the story from episode 64. It was screened at Jump Festa 2002, later came with the DVD box, and was animated on cels rather than digitally like the TV series.
