The cold doesn't matter when the chemistry between these characters is this warm. Every conversation feels like it actually means something, the pacing doesn't waste your time getting to the romance, and the gals have enough personality that you forget the protagonist exists mainly as your seat in the room. This is what happens when a rom-com stops trying to be clever and just commits to making you believe two people belong together.

High schooler Tsubasa Shiki has just moved from Tokyo to Kitami City in Hokkaido, eager to see the snowy scenery he never had in the capital. The bitter cold crushes that romantic picture almost at once. While he is lost on the way to his new home, he meets Minami Fuyuki, a chatty, friendly local girl in a short skirt, bare-legged despite the freezing weather. The next day she turns out to be in his class, seated right beside him. Pulled along by her eager approaches, Tsubasa grows fond of both Hokkaido life and the girl set on getting closer to him, and he meets other fashionable gals at school along the way. The show is a romantic comedy with a slice-of-life feel, adapted from a manga by Ikada Kai.
