In a near future where androids are part of everyday life, a sudden virus outbreak turns more than seventy percent of humanity into zombie-like Creatures. The androids leave their infected owners, since nothing in their programming treats Creatures as human. Hasty, a housekeeper android, acts differently: when her young master Neville is infected, his last words stir something in her, and she refuses to leave him behind. She stays at his side after every other person in their area has been infected. The rest of the world now aims to wipe out all Creatures to stamp out the source of the infection. Hasty vows to do whatever it takes to cure Neville, even if that means fighting the whole world.
