Inumaru just does whatever he wants, and nobody can stop him. Yamada shows up ready to be a real teacher, and gets immediately demolished by a four-year-old with no pants and zero self-awareness. The comedy isn't trying to be clever, it's just watching a kid be exactly as chaotic as kids actually are, and a teacher slowly accept that professionalism doesn't work on toddlers.

Four-year-old Inumaru has a simple philosophy: pants are optional. Every day at kindergarten, he runs around with nothing on below the waist, leaving his new teacher Tamako Yamada perpetually flustered. As a newcomer to the job, she struggles to cope with the boy's odd habit. The show is a comedy told in short episodes, set among the daily routines of a kindergarten where one small child keeps his teacher on her toes.
