Junior high student Rinko Kougyoku teams up with Ruby, a rabbit Jewelpet from the magical realm of Jewel Land. When a pelican carrying the Jewelpets in charm form is thrown off course by a gust of wind, the charms rain down on Rinko's city, and Ruby is sent to bring them back. Because the charms show up wherever people are in trouble, Rinko, her friend Minami and Ruby end up helping each person they meet, using Jewelpet magic with support from friends and a handsome high-ranking government official. Meanwhile, the black cat Diana steers a band of small-time crooks as she plots against Jewel Land. The result is a fantasy magical girl series.
