Principal Kocho is thrilled until he learns the brutal truth: their opening match is against Gedo High School, a team so legendarily vicious that they don't just win games, they obliterate opponents in the most literal sense possible. These aren't your average rivals. Gedo leaves bodies in their wake, and Kocho realizes his students aren't preparing for a baseball game, they're walking into a war zone. The principal gives up hope, both for his players surviving and for any chance of victory.
