A dog watches a boy grow up and leave home, and the show treats that small tragedy with the weight of a lifetime. There's no plot, no conflict, just two beings who need each other slowly learning that need has an expiration date. By the end you're not crying because something happened, you're crying because nothing lasts.

Junkers Come Here: Memories of You is a 1994 drama and slice of life OVA.
