Maru is a cat adopted from a shelter in Matsuyama city by a girl named Anna. Loved and generously fed by the family, he grows rounder by the day and spends most of his time sitting at the window, gazing out at the garden. When the family brings home a new cat named Cerisier and starts lavishing attention on it, Maru becomes jealous. During a fight with Cerisier, the family's words hurt him, and he takes another cat's advice to leave home and see the world. The story unfolds as a ten-episode slice of life short.
