Since ancient times, shrine maidens armed with swords have exorcised the aratama, strange beings that menace the human world. These young women, called Toji, wear school uniforms along with their blades and serve as a special unit of the police. As government officials, they are permitted to carry swords, and they study at one of five schools set up around the country. Each spring, the five schools send their finest Toji to a traditional tournament to fight for the top spot. As the event draws near, every representative trains hard to grow stronger and sharpen her skills. The two-episode OVA mixes action and fantasy.
