A recap with no business being this devastating. Hyakunen no Kodoku strips away the mecha spectacle and builds a monument to everyone who died believing in something, Newtype transcendence, Zeon's vision, the lie that ideology saves you. It recontextualizes a hundred years of war not as a story about who won, but as proof that nobody did. By the time you reach UC episode 7, you're not watching a continuation. You're watching a funeral for an entire universe's worth of faith.

A single recap special tied to Gundam Unicorn, this episode revisits Mobile Suit Gundam, Zeta Gundam, Gundam ZZ and Char's Counterattack. Its lens is the set of ideals behind Newtypes and Zeonism, presented ahead of the seventh episode of Gundam UC. The special was packaged as an extra on the Volume 7 Blu-ray of the Unicorn OVA, and it pairs mecha battles with drama.
