Kyousuke asks Madoka along on a trip to Okinawa, but Hikaru, Kazuya and Yuusuke end up tagging along. Kazuya's powers set off a chain of misunderstandings, and Kyousuke and Madoka wind up stuck alone together in a cave, which may be the opening Kyousuke needs to finally tell her how he feels. Made ahead of the Kimagure Orange Road TV anime to test interest in more, this romance drama special works as an alternate take on episode 46. It debuted at the 1985 Jump Festival with a different staff and voice cast from the later series, and it reached video in 1989. The story comes from Izumi Matsumoto's romantic comedy manga, which ran in Shounen Jump.
