This is what Toriyama looked like when he was still hungry to prove he could do anything. The first half drags like a morning meeting, but once it breaks into action the comedy timing snaps into place and the adventure stops apologizing for itself. A 47-minute reminder that fun doesn't need to be precious or self-aware.
SYNOPSIS
Two martial artists, Kosuke and Rikimaru, find themselves stranded on Konpeito Island after a catastrophic accident leaves their ship in ruins. The island itself proves far from uninhabited. A military regime controls the territory with an iron fist, deploying advanced mechanical weapons and ruthless soldiers to maintain order.
