A mischievous kid named Kum Kum lives in prehistoric times with his family and friends, part of a tribe of Mountain People who hunt and farm high in the hills near Fire Mountain. Trouble follows him like a shadow. He has a real talent for landing himself and the other village kids in hot water, whether he is playing around the village or chasing small red beasts. His father often punishes him by shutting him away in a dark cave. The comedy pairs cute, chibi-style charm with the pathos of everyday prehistoric life, as Kum Kum and his young friends stumble from one adventure to the next.
