This is a bonus round for people who already know why Kuroko matters. The chemistry between the Generation of Miracles falls into pure, unguarded comedy when the stakes are nothing but a stupid bet. It's the show remembering that these characters are teenagers first, basketball prodigies second.

Seirin's basketball players meet in the gym with their old test scores in hand. Riko and Izuki warn them that the coming review tests will rank every student, and the lowest hundred must attend a remedial class on Saturday, the same day the Inter-High final league begins. Anyone who fails will miss the games. Kuroko's grades turn out to be as unremarkable as he is, but Kagami's are dreadful, so the team arranges special study sessions for him at Riko's house. The single-episode OVA adapts a story from the fifth volume of the manga and was bundled with volume 25.
