A camphor tree stands on the grounds of a shrine, and legend says it will grant the wishes of anyone who prays to it. Reito Naoi, a man in his early twenties, loses his job unfairly. Angry and wanting payback, he tries to steal a valuable device from his former workplace, but the attempt fails and he lands in jail. A lawyer then visits with an offer: Reito can go free if he agrees to do what the lawyer's client wants. With no other way out, he says yes and learns that the client is his own aunt. When he admits he has no plans for his future, she tells him to become the tree's keeper. This supernatural mystery drama film is based on a novel by Keigo Higashino.
