The war between empires collapses into a war between two men who understand each other too well. Reinhard and Yang don't fight because they're enemies; they fight because neither can accept the other's vision of what humanity deserves. Every tactical decision is a philosophical argument made in starlight, and by the end you realize the entire series was never about who wins, but what victory costs the person holding the sword.

The endless war between the monarchic Galactic Empire and the democratic Free Planets Alliance continues in this sequel to Die Neue These Second. Called to answer before his own government, the Alliance's Yang Wen-li is unsettled by the corruption he finds there. On the Imperial side, Reinhard discovers disloyalty among those under his command, while an ambitious admiral opens a brutal campaign to take back Iserlohn Fortress. As the bloodshed drags on, both men come to see that their most dangerous enemy may lie within their own side rather than across the battle lines. The twelve-episode ONA blends science fiction, military action and political drama.
