Part 2 grabs you by the collar in its first minutes because it assumes you already know what Marc did and what it cost. This is the stretch where the show stops teasing and starts opening files: the censored history of the old world, the sanitized version of the apocalypse survivors were fed, the shape of a planet that spent decades shaking itself apart after the moon shifted. Every trip outside is a survival math problem, and the series is perfectly happy to let you count the bodies. What actually lands isn't the hardware or the horror design, it's watching one man pay in installments for a single act of disobedience while everyone around him quietly decides whether he was right. Go in cold and you will drown, which is fine, this was never built for tourists. Do Part 1 and the middle chapter first, then let this one hit you.
