Season two knows the apartment is no longer empty, so it stops asking permission. Daisuu's silence was the whole story once; now Myou's noise is. The show trades the ache of solitude for something quieter and harder to name: what you do when someone has already answered the only question that mattered, and you have to figure out how to keep them there. Three minutes at a time, it asks what comes after rescue, when rescue is just the beginning of something neither of you planned to need this badly.

Look, I Can See Your Ears! S2 is the follow-up to the Chinese animated comedy Look, I Can See Your Ears! In the earlier season, Daisuu was a manhua artist living alone with no friends, family or partner, until he took in a kitten during a rainstorm and found it was a cat boy named Myou. Myou kept causing trouble, but he brought new life to Daisuu's dull days. The 12-episode ONA mixes comedy, fantasy, romance and slice of life. Streaming began in China in February 2019, and a Japanese TV broadcast followed in April 2019.
