A demon lord and an immortal wake up in each other's bodies and have to keep each other alive long enough to swap back. What starts as pure comedy friction, watching him flail in her magic, watching her command his power, becomes the actual thing that saves both of them. By the time you realize this show is about two people learning to need each other, the jokes have already made you care too much to look away.

Dongfang Qingcang, an ancient demon lord held down for a thousand years, returns to the three worlds and sparks a war between immortals and demons as soon as he is reborn. To break free, he swaps souls with Lanhua, an immortal who struggles to control her magic, and her immortal body is accidentally destroyed in the process. Left with no other choice, the pair set out together in search of a new body, trading blows and jokes along the way. As the journey goes on, Lanhua begins to fall for the demon lord. What she does not realize is that Dongfang Qingcang has been using her all along as a means to revive Chidi, the ancient god of war, while a larger conspiracy quietly unfolds in the background. The result is a fantasy romance with plenty of comedy woven through its scheming.
