This is the Christmas episode that Season 1 earned but never got, which means it's pure fan service in the best sense, Rikka and Yuuta actually moving forward while the club descends into beautiful chaos around them. The humor lands because it knows exactly how ridiculous these characters are, and the romance lands because you've already spent a season watching them circle each other. One episode is not enough.

Yuuta Togashi and Rikka Takanashi have only just started dating, and both are too shy to take the next step. Rikka turns to her class representative, Shinka Nibutani, for advice on love, and Nibutani tells her the Christmas season is her chance to grow closer to Yuuta. On the suggestion of Yuuta's friend Makoto Isshiki, the group holds a Christmas party at Sanae Dekomori's mansion. Partway through the evening, Yuuta realizes Rikka has vanished and goes looking for her, only to find her behaving oddly. A single OVA episode set right after the first season, it pairs comedy and romance in a holiday slice of life story.
