Motoko finally gets a story that's actually about her instead of just existing to reject Keitaro. Her sister arriving as a rival forces the show to ask what Motoko actually wants, which turns out to be the real fight. The special trades on 20 minutes of pure character focus, and that's enough.

Motoko's older sister, Tsuruko, turns up without warning, ready to hand the family dojo down to her. There is a problem: Motoko has not yet caught up to her sister's strength. Once Tsuruko learns this, she sets Motoko an ultimatum. Either Motoko defeats her in a fight, or she marries Keitaro.
