The entire premise collapses into a single question that has no right answer: which one is actually Lupin? Both steal perfectly, both think three moves ahead, both know exactly what Jigen wants to hear. The gang doesn't get to stay neutral. One of these men is a ghost, and picking the wrong one means betraying the thief you've followed for decades. It's not about which Lupin is real. It's about which one deserves to be.

One Lupin wears red and the other wears green, so how can the world's greatest thief be stealing in one place while shoplifting somewhere else? Yasuo works in a ramen shop and dates a news reporter named Yukiko. Short on money, he picks up a green jacket a customer left behind and begins lifting wallets on the busy streets of Tokyo. Over time he becomes consumed with the idea of being Lupin. When a Lupin impersonator is arrested for shoplifting in Tokyo, dozens of copycats pour into the city to defend the name of Arsene Lupin III. The real Lupin is in town as well, planning to steal a mysterious prize called the Ice Cube. Yasuo wants the Cube too, convinced that taking it would make him the true Lupin. In a final standoff, Jigen, Goemon and Fujiko have to pick a side. The OVA mixes action and comedy.
