While out celebrating early, Lupin splits off and rescues Michelle, a girl being chased by suspicious men. She wants him to steal a diamond from her father so the man can be stopped from doing evil. Figuring he can collect both the money and the gem when the six days are up, Lupin agrees to act as her bodyguard until then. Jigen, meanwhile, runs into Ryatte, a soldier he once served with, and the two discuss other work, so Jigen will spend the six days with him before the racetrack job. Elsewhere, Fujiko and Goemon plot to steal a diamond from a diamond exhibition. The special mixes action and comedy as these separate threads unfold.
