Zenigata dies. Not as a side effect of some larger plot, but because Lupin's world finally stopped being a game. Morgana's here to steal what Lupin steals, kill who Lupin loves, and prove that the cat-and-mouse routine between a master thief and an old cop was always fragile. The special spends its runtime watching Lupin realize that chasing a legend matters more than being one.

Inspector Zenigata falls during a brutal confrontation, caught between Lupin's latest heist and the machinations of a ruthless villain named Morgana. The master thief finds himself facing an unexpected enemy: someone willing to use deadly force to claim the same prize he was after, a Buddha statuette recovered from a Nazi-era facility. Morgana wants the ancient power of the Fuma known as Fujin. Asuka, a skilled ninja, is also racing to uncover its secret. Fujiko Mine, never one to sit on the sidelines, inserts herself into the hunt and makes an already volatile situation even more complicated. The result is a one-off adventure comedy special built around who will end up controlling Fujin.
