This is the palate cleanser you watch the second the weekly episode ends, still keyed up from the war table, and suddenly Tigre is a two-head-tall gag machine getting bullied by the Vanadis in super-deformed miniature. Fourteen Flash shorts, each one over before you've settled in, all of them built on the assumption that you already know exactly who these people are and what they were doing three minutes ago in the actual show. The jokes reach right through the screen too, meta-aware in a way the mainline series never allows itself, which is precisely why it lands for the people it lands for. Nobody wandering in cold gets a single laugh out of this, and the chibi redesign will make half the audience bounce on sight. But if you were invested in Tigre and his very complicated roster of Vanadis, watching the whole cast turned into squabbling little dolls is the reward for paying attention. It costs you a couple of minutes. That's the whole pitch, and it's enough.
