SYNOPSIS
Kozuki Mai dreams of performing magic tricks in her family's stage act, but there's one problem: she's still a kid, and her actual magical ability is basically nonexistent. Everything changes when a mysterious orb of light animates her stuffed flying squirrel and unlocks something extraordinary inside her. Now Mai can transform into Magical Emi, a glamorous 18-year-old magician with real powers and genuine stage presence. The catch is that nobody can know. Not her family, who have no idea their young daughter is secretly performing in their show as an adult illusionist. Not her classmates. Definitely not the boy she likes, who would probably have a lot of questions if he figured out the truth. Mai juggles school, keeping her identity hidden, and actually getting good enough at magic to pull off increasingly elaborate tricks while maintaining her cover. It's a comedy about wanting to grow up too fast, about fake identities and the chaos that comes with double lives, and about learning that sometimes you get what you wish for before you're ready for it.
