Two sisters drift apart, then magic forces them to become the exact opposite of what they actually are, idols, public, untouchable. Neither knows the other has powers. Neither knows their magic has an expiration date. The show's real tension isn't saving the world; it's the moment they find out, and everything they've built as these fake versions of themselves has to collapse. That reunion, when it comes, costs them both something irreplaceable.

Two sisters drifting apart find themselves unexpectedly bound by a secret neither can share. When Fuu stumbles upon a mysterious spacecraft, she gains the ability to transform into her ideal adult self, complete with magical powers. That same moment, Rui experiences an identical awakening, unaware of what's happening to her sister. Fuu and Rui Nonoyama, once close, receive their gifts from two catlike spirits named Uguisu and Azuki, which lets them become magical girl idols. There is a catch: the magic lasts only one year, and nobody may learn that it exists. Keeping their new identities hidden even from each other, both sisters launch idol careers in this magical girl series.
