Yumi Takeshita is an upbeat young woman who has just joined the police at the Tawagoto precinct. Back in middle school, a stranger pulled her out of the path of a truck. Years later, during her very first attempt at an arrest, she runs into that same rescuer again: Tohru Ichidaiji, a magician, and she is delighted to meet him at last. Her police work keeps handing her strange assignments, so she turns to the resourceful Tohru for help again and again. The six-episode OVA mixes comedy with romance.
