Four magical girls get turned into hags by an alien monster, then fly into space to fight back as themselves. The entire premise is built on the idea that your actual body, ugly, powerless, wrong, doesn't matter compared to what you choose to do with it. This is a 1980s magical girl OVA that accidentally made the genre's real point before the genre itself figured out what it was about. One episode. Forty years old. Completely forgotten. Worth finding.

Yuu, Persia, Mai and Yumi team up for a science fiction adventure in this single-episode OVA. A monstrous creature is attacking young, beautiful girls and turning them into ugly old hags, and only these four magical girls have the powers needed to fly into space and fight for Earth. To face the threat, Yuu becomes Creamy Mami, Mai becomes Magical Emi and Persia becomes Fairy, while young Yumi draws space suits for the whole group. The result is a magical girl story with a sci-fi setting, bringing its heroines together for a trip beyond Earth.
