Goro leaves Japan not because he's running from anything, but because he's finally ready to run toward something real. Gorou Honda has finished high school and played his last game with Seishuu against Kaidou, the team he left to compete against. With no regrets left, he says goodbye to Shimizu and his friends and heads to America, aiming for the Major League by way of the Minor League. There he meets a foreign country, an unfamiliar style of baseball, and players who are faster, stronger and more driven than he is. New friends and tough rivals share his love of the game, and Gorou must adapt to American culture and push himself harder than ever to climb toward the Majors.
