A retired official travels incognito through provinces to catch corruption where it lives, not where bureaucrats expect to be watched. Justice arrives not as spectacle but as a stranger who already knows what you've done. The formula never changes, and that's the point: every episode is a compact morality play where power gets exposed in the moment it thinks it's invisible.

Mitokomon, a trusted servant of the emperor with a strong sense of justice, is sent out to journey across the country. His task is to see how people live in each province, judge how well the local officials do their jobs, and report what he finds to the emperor. Two bodyguards travel with him: Kaiko, famed for his tremendous strength, and Tsuke, known for his superb skill with a sword. Moving incognito, the three meet many adventures along the road as they work to bring justice to ordinary citizens and root out corruption in the government. The show is a 46-episode TV adventure from 1981.
