SYNOPSIS
Mao has walked Japan for nine centuries, bound by a curse that keeps him trapped in the Taisho period while the world changes around him. As an onmyoji, he exorcises supernatural creatures and investigates the paranormal forces bleeding into human society. His solitary existence shatters when Nanoka, a modern-day junior high student, suddenly materializes in his era after visiting the site of her parents' deaths in the future. Disoriented and grieving, Nanoka finds herself face-to-face with this centuries-old mystic who seems to recognize something in her that she doesn't yet understand in herself. Nanoka becomes Mao's unlikely companion as they uncover the truth behind her impossible arrival. Together they confront ayakashi, malicious spirits, and the curse that binds them both. What begins as mystery deepens into something more complicated: two people separated by time and circumstance, each carrying wounds that may only heal if they can untangle the supernatural forces connecting their fates. The past and present collide as they search for answers neither expected to find.
