The premise sounds like a punchline, but the show actually means it: Midori loves Seiji completely, and watching him slowly realize he's loved by someone who literally cannot leave him is genuinely sweet. The comedy comes from actual awkwardness and tenderness, not from fanservice winking at the audience. By the final episodes, you're invested in whether these two idiots figure out they're already together.

Seiji's romantic track record is a disaster. Twenty rejections deep, the delinquent known around Sakuradamon High as the Mad Dog, famous for his fearsome right hand, half-jokingly swears he will get through high school with that hand as his only girlfriend. Then he wakes up one morning to find his right hand has turned into a tiny girl. Her name is Midori Kasugano, and she has had a crush on him for three years. Neither of them wants things to stay this way, so Seiji tries to change her back, but after a big misunderstanding at the Kasugano home, the two agree to keep their situation to themselves until they find a fix. What follows is a strange relationship, and possibly Midori's only chance to be with the person she loves. The story mixes comedy, romance, ecchi moments and slice-of-life drama with a supernatural twist.
