SYNOPSIS
Twelve-year-old Ushiwaka has spent his entire life on Tortatis, an asteroid transformed into a mining colony by Planet Catcher Corporation. Born in the vacuum of space, he knows no other home. When a military satellite's catastrophic malfunction destabilizes the asteroid during an operation near Halley's Comet, everything changes. Corporate interests and bureaucratic negligence leave the colonists stranded with a failing nuclear reactor counting down to meltdown. Ushiwaka and the handful of survivors must navigate impossible odds: scarce resources, failing equipment, and the harsh reality that no rescue is coming. The asteroid becomes both prison and tomb, a harsh reminder that the frontier demands sacrifice nobody should have to pay. With time running out and options vanishing, the colonists face a choice between accepting their fate or fighting for survival against the indifference of the corporations and governments that claimed to support them. This two-episode OVA captures the tension of disaster sci-fi while grounding the stakes in human determination, showing what ordinary people do when abandoned by the system meant to protect them.
