Kobayashi's Dragon Maid already knew how to make you feel at home with its cast. These shorts take that feeling and compress it into tiny, perfect moments, the kind of joke setup that lands because you know exactly how these people would react. It's fanservice in the best sense: not for new viewers, but for people who wanted five more minutes with Tohru and Kanna on a random Tuesday.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S: Miniature Dragon is a set of short comedy and slice of life animations released on Kyoto Animation's YouTube channel as a lead-in to the July 7 premiere of the franchise's second season. The ONA runs 16 episodes: thirteen regular shorts plus three specials that came out while the second season was airing. The bite-sized clips serve as a celebratory warm-up for fans waiting on the new season.
