The joke is that you're watching a tired office worker debug superhumans like they're software while her evil organization keeps losing to the same five heroes every week. Kuroitsu works in the monster development division of Agastya, a shadowy organization locked in conflict with the world's heroes. As an assistant researcher, she's responsible for designing and refining the superhumans that fight on the front lines, but her job is anything but glamorous. Her days consist of managing tight deadlines, appeasing demanding supervisors, juggling budget constraints, and somehow delivering creatures that meet every spec. To the public, Agastya is an entertainment company known for its theme park, but under its leader Akashic it is one of several evil groups chasing world domination. Kuroitsu handles surprise presentations and proposals, meets absurd expectations for monster designs, and heads out with her creations as they march toward certain defeat at the hands of the heroes, all without a vacation. Through it all she keeps giving her best in hopes of earning a promotion. What unfolds is a comedy about workplace life inside a villainous organization, set against a fantasy backdrop.
