Sado's masochism isn't a gimmick, it's the actual premise, the show commits so hard to the joke that the absurdity becomes the whole point. Every character wants something broken about themselves fixed, which means every interaction is chaos in the best way. The slapstick hits because the timing is exact, the cast genuinely riffs off each other, and the show knows exactly how dumb it is.

Taro Sado is a high school student with a secret: he is a masochist who takes pleasure in being beaten up by cute girls, and he knows it. On the advice of his cross-dressing best friend Tatsukichi Hayama, he turns to the Second Voluntary Club for help, and he ends up joining after its members promise to fix him. What he finds is a club full of people with serious issues of their own. The leader, Mio Isurugi, is an aggressive girl who considers herself a god and is afraid of cats. Arashiko Yuuno has an intense fear of men. The club advisor, Michiru Onigawara, is a sadist who makes people cosplay. Along the way this odd group learns something about acceptance and kindness, in a comedy with plenty of ecchi content.
