Reigen's a fraud selling you a con man's version of his own story, and the OVA is completely aware of the bit. The show stops being a recap the moment you realize his narration is the unreliable disaster you already knew he was, turning every scene into a joke about how he'd actually tell it. Watching him photoshop his face bigger in old photos, claim credit for Mob's power, and narrate himself as the hero of his own mythology is funnier than it has any right to be after 60 minutes of retreaded footage.

Reigen Arataka sits down to document his life's work: the extraordinary cases that established him as the world's most celebrated psychic. Through his recounting, we witness the supposedly authentic behind-the-scenes moments of his greatest supernatural victories. Framed as the story behind his tell-all book, this single OVA episode recaps events from the Mob Psycho 100 TV series. It reuses re-edited footage from the show, adds some newly made scenes, and runs Reigen's own narration and commentary over the whole thing. The result is a supernatural action comedy summary told from his point of view. Viewers who already know the main series will get the most out of it. It was first screened at an event at the Maihama Amphitheater in Chiba in March 2018.
