A.D. 2307 starts as political thriller and ends as something that rewrites what Gundam means. The four Meisters feel distant by design, which makes their slow humanization hit harder than any speech about why they fight. In 2307, three orbital elevators control Earth's solar energy supply, dividing the world into haves and have-nots. The resulting conflicts breed constant warfare across the globe. Then Celestial Being emerges from the shadows, a private military force with a radical mission: end all armed conflict by force. Their weapon of choice is the Gundam, a mobile suit unlike anything the world has seen. Four pilots, called Gundam Meisters, carry this burden: Setsuna F. Seiei, Lockon Stratos, Allelujah Haptism and Tieria Erde. Together they step into conflicts between the three great power blocs, and their armed interventions split public opinion as governments and other factions begin to account for them. The open question is whether force of arms can truly bring peace, and what the world will become as a result of their actions.
