Hiiragi is a first-year high school student trapped by his own need to please everyone around him. He can't refuse requests, even when he struggles to carry them out. His summer takes a sharp turn when he meets Tsumugi, an oni girl who has come to the human world looking for her mother. Where Hiiragi bends to every whim, Tsumugi does exactly as she wants. When he recognizes the amulet she treasures, he agrees to guide her to the shrine it came from. As snow starts falling in the middle of summer, the two set out on a supernatural journey to find her mother, meeting new people and facing challenges along the way.
