It puts a name to the friendship you were too polite to walk away from. Nana doesn't hate Yuyu, she hates that she keeps saying yes: the matching hairstyle she never wanted, the matching accessories she'd never have picked, the slow erosion of having taste of your own. Three short episodes is exactly the right size for that story, no padded arc, no third-act betrayal, just a girl deciding she's allowed to want different hair. The art does the heavy lifting, soft shoujo-manga linework and character designs cute enough that people watch for the frames alone. Fair warning, the English translation is rough, grammar errors and all, so you'll be reading around the subs more than once. Worth it anyway if you've ever bought the same accessory as someone else purely to keep the peace.
