A creature hatches from a nut and becomes your roommate, and that's just the starting point for what this show actually is: a machine designed to make you feel okay about moving somewhere that scared you. Every episode introduces another weirdo living in this impossible tree, and by the end you realize they're not strange at all, just different versions of home. The show costs nothing to watch and asks nothing of you except to sit with the idea that strange new places can become the ones you never want to leave.
Michi and her family have just moved into the Happiness House, a giant tree with all kinds of small buildings and homes built on it and within it. While exploring the room that will become her bedroom, Michi comes across a strange object shaped something like a nut, and before long an odd creature called Nanami-chan hatches from it. The two quickly become close friends. Together they learn all sorts of new things, and each day they meet more of the Happiness House's eccentric residents. The result is a short-form comedy built around Michi, her new companion and their unusual neighbors.
