O-Gong Son, called Sonogong, stirs up chaos in Heaven and is punished by being sealed inside an enormous iron mass for 500 years. He is finally freed by Samjang Bupsa, an elderly priest setting out to drive evil from the world and bring peace, and O-Gong becomes his disciple. Along the way he meets Saojung, who covets O-Gong's remarkable Superboard, and Jopalgye, a rough pig who sells oil. After various twists, both join the priest's journey. The group keeps running into powerful foes and trouble, yet they refuse to lose heart and come up with clever ways to beat the monsters. The result is an action adventure that offers a contemporary retelling of the Chinese classic Journey to the West.
