Kakashi's sacrifice actually means something here, the show spends real time on what his death costs before Naruto even shows up to fix it. The Will of Fire stops being a catchphrase and becomes the actual argument between characters who loved the same person but learned different lessons from him. It's a Naruto movie that remembers what made the series work: one person's conviction breaking through someone else's certainty.

Four ninja with rare bloodline abilities vanish from different countries, and suspicion falls on the Land of Fire. Kakashi, Naruto, Sakura and Sai track down where the missing ninja are, but Hiruko, a power-hungry former Leaf ninja, reveals he has absorbed their abilities and wants one more bloodline limit before waging war on the world. Facing an ultimatum from the other nations, Tsunade accepts a bold plan from Kakashi that could cost him his life. Naruto refuses to let his teacher die and is ready to fight friend and foe alike to save him, while changing the minds of those who carry the will of fire. The film mixes action and comedy.
