Natsusa Yuzuki has played rugby as a left wing since childhood and enters Doushisha University expecting to become the team's ace. A motorcycle accident ends that hope, leaving his body unable to handle the sport, and his childhood best friend Seiichirou makes sure he follows the doctor's orders. Unwilling to give rugby up completely, Natsusa stays involved the only way left to him, as the team's manager, and aims for a title in the Kansai university league. The squad is a difficult mix. First-year Yasunari Tsuru dislikes Natsusa and now plays his old wing position, while Yuu Mashiro looks up to him but struggles to hold his place at scrum half.
