Nobody is making a show about sentient ramen bowls having genuine conversations about life, and the fact that Nyamen exists at all is the joke that carries it. The disconnect between what they are (CGI noodle soups) and how they talk (like real people processing real feelings) creates this deadpan comfort that lands harder than it has any right to. You're not watching this for plot or character arcs; you're watching because a bowl of tonkotsu just said something true about friendship, and somehow that hit different.

Ramen bowls rendered in CGI, shaped like cats but with the personalities of high school girls, chat about everyday matters that all somehow come back to ramen. The comedy comes from treating these noodle dishes as ordinary teenage chatterboxes. The opening and ending sequences show a different look: there they appear as 2D anime cat-girls wearing naruto fishcake accessories, a design the episodes themselves never use. The 12 short episodes make for a light, silly comedy.
