Keiichi finally has to say what he's been dancing around since the series started. The treasure hunt is an excuse, but watching him fumble toward those three words while Belldandy waits with that smile, that's the whole point. It's comfort food for fans who have been living with these characters long enough to know why silence costs more than speech.

Keiichi comes across his grandfather's diary and finds a treasure map inside, and Skuld and Urd are soon eager to go looking for it. Keiichi travels with his friends to Honda Inn, the spot the map points to. Once inside, the group meets Honda Chieko, who appears to share some kind of promise with Keiichi. Beyond all the confusion the trip stirs up, Keiichi also has to work up the courage to tell Belldandy that he loves her. These two specials mix comedy, romance and supernatural elements.
